On the 7th of October 1909, four camera makers merged to form the Internationale Camera A.G. (ICA) company of Dresden, Germany. The four merging companies included Richard Huttig & Sohn AG in Dresden, Emil Wunsche in Reick near Dresden, Dr. R. Krugener Kamerawerk in Frankfurt and Carl Zeiss Palmos in Jena, who initiated the merger to combat the growing competition. In 1912 G. Zulauf & Co. from Zurich was added to the firm.
