  Bebe Model A

The Bebe Model A camera was manufactured by the Ica A.G. camera company of Dresden, Germany from approximately 1911 to 1925. A miniature camera taking exposures 1 3/4 x 2 3/8 inches on film packs or plates. Constructed of an aluminum body, hardened steel and a leather bellows. It is covered in black fine grain leather, and the metal is finished in black enamel or polished aluminum. It has a strut erecting front, with a direct eye-level finder. A single tripod sockets. It was fitted with ether a Hekla anstigmat F6.8 or a Carl Zeiss Tessar lens F4.5 lens. The shutter was a compound type capable of speed from one to 1/250 of a second, including time, bulb. Fitted with the Hekla lens the camera was priced at $47.50 and with a Carl Zeiss lens it was priced at $71.50. It measured 3 5/8 x 2 3/4 x 1 5/8 inches when closed.
