Original Letter of Contest Start

Hi,

I hope you will participate in our first contest. I figured I would make it simple to start out with and not go with the camera theme discussed in the news letter. All you have to do to compete is to post up to 7 photos of your photographica collection from August 15th through September 15th and you can win some really neat prizes! The photo post must be original of your collection and not copyrighted by someone else. All associate and elite members are eligible to participate. No sign up necessary, just post in the time period and it will be recorded.

First Prize: Up to $45.00 worth of merchandise from the HCCC shop
Second Prize: Up to $25.00 worth of merchandise from the HCCC shop
Third Prize: Up to $20.00 worth of merchandise from the HCCC shop

Duration:

Contest will run from August 15 and end on September 15.

Contest Rules:

Photos must be owned by you, and can be cameras, photographs or empheria, but must be antique or collectable in nature.

Posts are scored on a scale of 1 to 10 for each criteria, where ten is the best. The following criteria will be used to judge your collection.

a) Quantity of Items posted
b) Quality or rarity of item posted
c) Quality of photograph or scan (ie. clarity, layout, style, lighting)
d) Quality of the description for the item
e) Ratings and Page views it receives prior to contest end. (so the earlier
you post the more opportunity you have to get more points)

Each member has a potential of obtaining 50 points.
Member with the most points wins.
If you don't want to participate, would you like to be a contest sponsor? or you are welcome to make a small donation and increase the prize pot for everyone else.
Opinions on best in contest are welcome from other members. Rate the photos in the gallery online after you log in or email me..
