The Comet Flash Camera was manufactured by the Zenith Camera Corp. in circa 1947. It was constructed of plastic bakelite with a metal faceplate. It was similar to the Non-flash Comet camera and it also featured a new type of two position focusing front actuated by twist of the wrist. It produced eight 1 5/8 inch x 2 1/2 inch sized exposures on no. 127 roll film. It featured a an optically ground fixed focus meniscus lens, a "no-jar" instantaneous shutter with a 2 position depth of field scale, a compur-type instantaneous shutter providing 1/25 of a second speed with bulb release, and a built in view finder. The Comet Camera originally sold for $9.95.
