  Zenith Comet Camera

The Comet Focusing Camera was manufactured by the Zenith Camera Corp. in circa 1947. They also made a <Comet Flash version of this camera. It was constructed of plastic bakelite with a metal faceplate. This camera featured a new type focusing front actuated by twist of the wrist. It produced eight 1 5/8 inch x 2 1/2 inch sized exposures on no. 127 roll film. It featured a an optically ground fixed focus meniscus lens, a "no-jar" instantaneous shutter with a two position setting for bright and dull lighted photos, and a built in view finder. The Comet Camera originally sold for $6.95. A carry case was extra.
