The Petite Kamarette was manufactured by the Blair Camera Company and introduced to the public in 1892 as the smallest film cameras on the market. It initially was advertised as a Ladies camera. It was constructed on the same principle as the larger Kamaret. When loaded with film it was capable of taking fifty pictures, each of a diameter of 3 inches. The Petite Kamarette was operated in the same manner as the larger sizes except for the insertion of the roll which was more simple than in the larger sizes. The camera was opened from the rear with swing doors on either side to make the insertion of the roll film easy.
