The Black Beauty camera was manufactured by Seneca Camera Manufacturing Company from approximately 1905 to 1915. Designed to be a completely ebonized and nickel camera with high gloss. The camera was constructed of wood covered in black leather with the exposed wood finished in black and lacquered. The lens and view finder was also black and nickel to add to the high luster look. Available in 4 x 5 inch, post card and 5 x 7 inch size exposures. Fitted with a meniscus lens and UNO shutter, a rapid convertible lens with three focal lengths placed in a Wollensak Regno shutter was also available.
