  Seneca Special Plate Camera

The Seneca Special Camera was manufactured by the Seneca Camera manufacturing company beginning in 1905 and continued up to 1912. Designed as a long focus folding camera capable of moderate price. The Seneca Special Camera was made of mahogany, covered in seal grain leather, and highly polished and lacquered brass hardware. Bellows were made of red Russian leather lined with gossamer cloth. It was fitted with a Seneca three-focus Convertible lens and a Seneca Uno shutter with bulb and tube attachment. Features included a rising and falling front, a spring actuated back with ground glass panel for focusing, rack and pinion for fine Made with locking device, brilliant view finder that is metal bounded and hooded.
