The Seneca No. 1 Camera was manufactured by the Seneca Camera manufacturing company from circa 1903 to 1912. Designed as a compact folding camera capable of exposing glass plates. The No. 1 was similar to the No. 2 except that it was fitted with a single Achromatic lens and the Uno shutter. This camera was constructed of Mahogany with an ebony finish, covered in seal grain leather, the bass hardware was nickel plated and the bellows were made of black or red Russian leather lined with gossamer cloth. Features include a rising and falling front, a back with spring actuated ground glass panel for focusing, a clamp with automatic press-button, a brilliant reversible view finder and two tripod sockets. Available in 4 x 5 or 5 x 7 sizes. Priced at $14 and $15.00 respectively.
