  Millitary Vest Pocket Seneca Camera

The Millitary Vest Pocket Seneca Camera was manufactured by the Seneca Camera Manufacturing Company in circa 1919. A special issue self erecting camera for the US military, where thousands of them went as Christmas presents. It was constructed of an aluminum frame covered in waterproof walrus grain covering and nickel plated metal hardware. The bellows were also water proof. Capable of capturing eight exposures 1 5/8 x 2 1/2 inches on Vulcan No. 254 roll film. A small camera that only measures 1 x 2 1/2 x 4 3/4 inches when closed and weighs 8 ounces. Fitted with a Meniscus Achromatic fixed focus lens with 2 /58 inch focal length and an automatic shutter with time and instantaneous movement. Two built-in brilliant view finders for vertical or horizontal images. The Millitary Vest Pocket Seneca Camera was priced at $6.00.
