Great Site.... I picked up a signed 6x8 Norman Edson orotone at a road side junk sale for a 5 spot. It is in it's origanal frame w/ origanal backing and Edson poem still attached, poem title is damaged from being hung on a nail. Photo appears to be taken from the west side of Hood Canal, Wa.Looking down on the canal and pleasant harbor(?) with Mt. Rainer top center and old growth Doug firs at the sides. Courious to it's value just for giggles. Nice little piece of work. anyone?, Thanks, Nelson

Just curious did you get that from a roadside near Seattle? The view is actually from Vashon Island, where Norman Edson is from (me too). We live near where that picture was taken from. Would you be interested in selling it?

Hi, I have a Norman Edson "rayochrome" titled Mirror Lake. It
is in it's original frame with Edson's business card on the
back with the hand written title and it states that his studio is
on Vashon Island. There is also a plate on the back side of the
frame that says Lowman & Hanford Co. Seattle. I'm assuming
that is the framers. The photo is 9.5"x7.5" and it's in a rather
ornate frame.
I think the rayochrome was similar to the orochrome. On the
business card it says ""The "Rayochrome" A process that
depicts sunlight in nature by Norman Edson"""
I'd love to hear more about the photograph.

The complete size is 1ft7inches x 1ft4inches.The inside dimensions on inside of frame are 1ft 2inches x 10 inches
