Filmograph No. 3 Camera

The Filmograph No. 3 Camera was manufactured by J. Lancaster & Son beginning in 1903. This was a higher grade camera compared to the No.s 1 and 2. It was also constructed with an aluminum base board. The No. 3 takes quarter plate exposures 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 inch in size on roll film. This camera came with an upgraded Lancaster's rapid rectillinear lens and a new pattern of iris shutter having pneumatic release. Like the No. 2, It was possible to purchase an adapter for using glass plates or cut films. It also retained the features of a rising and falling front, and a new reversible rotating brilliant finder. The Filmograph No. 3 was originally priced at 50s.
