Mandel-ette Camera by Chicago Ferrotype Co.

The Mandel-ette Camera was manufactured by the Chicago Ferrotype Company from approximately 1909 to 1930. This is believed to be the Mandel brothers first commercial camera. Capable of taking direct positive images on 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 sensitized card stock in one minute. Daylight loading of 16 to 50 cards at one time. Advertised as a camera so simple that a child can make pictures and at 1/10 the cost of ordinary photography. Pictures are developed inside the camera with the 'wonder developer'. The camera measures 4 1/2 x 5 x 7 inches and weighs about 24 ounces.
