  Eastman View Camera No. 1

The Eastman View Camera No. 1 was manufactured by the Eastman Kodak Company from approximately 1914 to 1924. This camera was an evolution of the improved model of the Empire state. Designed in mission style and constructed with a mahogany body and cherry wood base, black fabric bellows and brass oxidized metal parts. Features include a double extension with front and rear rack and pinion focusing, rising and falling front actuated by rack and pinion with a locking mechanism, large removable lens board can accommodate all lens, both horizontal and vertical swing, reversible back, automatic bellows support to prevent sagging, plumb level and leather handle strap. Available in three sizes: 5 x 7, 6 1/2 x 8 1/2, and 8 x 10 inch size. This camera only was originally priced from $20.00 to $25.00 depending on size.
