The Premoette Junior Special No. 1 and No. 1A Cameras were manufactured by the Eastman Kodak Company from 1913 to 1918. Similar to the regular Premoette Junior cameras but fitted with a compound shutter capable of speeds from 1/300 of a second in the No. 1 and from 1/250 of a second in the No. 1A. Both cameras use the Zeiss Kodak Anastigmat lens f6.3.
Constructed largely of aluminum and so it is extremely light weight, covered in Persian Morocco leather and the bellows is finest quality black leather. The No. 1 takes exposures 2 1/4 x 3 1/4 inch and the No. 1A takes larger exposures 2 1/2 x 4 1/4 inch. Both models take Kodak film packs providing twelve exposures without reloading.
