  Empire State Camera by Kodak


The Empire State Camera continued to be manufactured by the Eastman Kodak company after Kodak purchased the Rochester Optical Company in 1903. Production continued until approximately 1915. Constructed of highly polished mahogany wood with lacquered brass hardware. The bed hinges folding completely under the camera. Focusing is obtained through rack and pinion with a locking mechanism. Equipped with a rising and falling front, a double swing back, and a reversible back. Made in five sizes including: 5 x 7, 6 1/2 x 8 1/2, 8 x 10, 11 x 14, 14 x 17. Prices ranged from $21 to $60.00 for camera only.
