Pony Premo No. 1

The Pony Premo No. 1 was manufactured by Eastman Kodak after they purchased the Rochester Optical Company in 1899. Production started in approximately 1903. It was essentially the predecessor to the original Pony Premo camera. Fitted with a rapid rectilinear lens and Gem automatic shutter, with bulb and lever action. Constructed of mahogany wood, handsomely polished and covered with black morocco grain leather, with all metal parts nickel finished. The front has rising and falling adjustment and the bed is rigid with two braces that lock automatically. Originally priced at $12.00.
