Frena No. 3 Camera by R. J. Beck

The Frena No. 3 Camera was manufactured by by R. J. Beck beginning from approximately 1896. This camera captures images 5 x 4 inches in size. Fitted with a 6 1/2 inch adjustable focus "Autograph" Rapid Rectilinear lens with magnifiers on the rotating diaphragms. The shutter provided speeds from 1/5 to 1/80 of a second, including time exposures. Detachable film box was able to carry 40 cut celluloid films. This camera featured a indicator showing number of films used, swing back, two finders for horizontal and vertical pictures, and two tripod sockets. This camera measures 12 1/2 x 6 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches and weighs 5 1/2 lbs with film loaded. Original price of camera with film costs �12 12s 0d.

A presentation model was also available. It was covered in buff calf leather and fitted with highly polished brass trimmings. The Frena No. 0 Camera presentation model cost was �14 14s 0d.
