Newman & Guardia Roll Film Sibyl Camera

Newman & Guardia Roll Film Sibyl Camera was essentially three existing models converted for roll film back, including the Baby Sibyl, the New Special Sybil and the New Ideal. Depicted to the right is the New Special Roll Film Sibyl model.

The Baby Sibyl roll film camera took exposures 2 1/2 x 1 5/8 inches, the New Special Sibyl was capable of taking exposures 2 5/16 x 3 11/16 inches on 120 roll film, and the New ideal took exposures 3 1/4 by 4 1/4 inches. Designed for the N&G film pack adapter or standard roll holder.

Constructed of metal, covered in the best morocco leather and a black bellows of the finest leather.Features included single extension, vertical and horizontal rising front, folding Direct-vision or reflecting finder with a pull-out lens hood, focusing scale from 2 yards. Fitted with various lens, including a Ross Xpres, T.T.H. Sibyl-Aviar, Dallmeyer and Wray. The Shutter was a N&G spring powered, with pneumatic regulation and speeds between 1/2 - 1/150 of a second.
