  Newman & Guardia Folding Reflex Camera

The Newman & Guardia Folding Reflex Camera was manufactured from approximately 1922 to the 1950s. This camera was simple to operate and easily folded into a compact size. The folding reflex was only provided in the 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 inch size (6.5 x 9 cm).

Fitted with a Ross Xpres lens f4.5, iris diaphragm to f32 and mounted on a unique lens mount. Equipped with the high speed focal-plane Shutter capable of 1/10 - 1/800 second with time exposure settings. The width of slit is varied by a second blind to regulate accurate exposure.

Handsomely constructed of metal frame with wood enhancements and covered in black leather. Features include a single extension, lens focusing mount, single lens direct image view, rising and tilting front, large ground glass screen, Magnifier in hood, revolving back for vertical and horizonal exposures, able to accommodate a changing box or roll film holder.
