The Newman & Guardia Imperial Sibyl Camera was manufacture in circa 1910. Designed as a versatile compact camera able to be arranged for a single metal slide, N&G double metal dark slides, or the N&G film pack adapter, roll holder, or the N & G changing box for twelve plates. the illustration to the right depicted the Roll-Film version.
Constructed of metal, covered in the best morocco leather and a black bellows of the finest leather. Capable of taking exposures 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 inches in size.
Features included single extension, vertical and horizontal rising front, folding reflecting view-finder with a pull-out lens hood, two spirit levels, Depth of field scale, hooded focusing screen, and a focusing scale from 2 yards. Fitted with various lens, including a Ross-Zeiss Tessar f6.3. The Shutter was a N&G spring powered, with pneumatic regulation and speeds between 1/2 - 1/100 of a second.
