The Newman & Guardia Postcard Sibyl Camera Was introduced in approximately 1910.
Designed as a versatile compact camera able to be arranged for a single metal slide, N&G double metal dark slides, or the N&G film pack adapter, roll holder, or the N & G changing box for twelve plates.
Constructed of metal, covered in the best morocco leather and a black bellows of the finest leather. Capable of taking exposures 5 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches in size.
Features included single extension, vertical and horizontal rising front, folding reflecting finder with a pull-out lens hood, focusing scale and spirit level. Fitted with a Ross-Zeiss Tessar f4.5. The Shutter was a N&G spring powered, with pneumatic regulation and speeds between 1/2 - 1/100 of a second, with for time exposure, including iris diaphragm, and self-capping.
