The Vive Stereoscopic Camera was manufactured from approximately 1898 to 1902. The Stereo Vive takes two 3 1/4 x 3 1/4 images. It is capable of taking up to 50 stereoscopic views or 100 separate pictures from one loading. Like other Vive cameras the metal magazine can accommodate both glass plates or cut film. The plate size is 3 1/2 x 6 1/2 inches. Each camera came with a first-class hand stereoscope to view the pictures. The camera is fitted with two achromatized lenses for great width of angle and depth of focus. The camera measures 4 1/8 x 6 1/2 x 7 5/8 inches and sold for $12.00 dollars in 1898.
