  Vive No. 6 Camera

The Vive no. 6 was manufactured from approximately 1898 to 1902. This camera was designed similar to the features of the 4 x 5 No. 4 camera, except without the focusing magazine. It is fitted with a fixed focus metal magazine with metal slide focusing rests. The magazine carried upto 36 backed glass plates or over 100 backed cut films at one loading. It was constructed of wood and covered in fine grain leather with a leather handle, dark sleeve and two large brilliant finders, the Vive combination safety lens cap and three diaphragms. The outside dimension measured 5 x 5 5/8 x 9 3/8 inches. The Vive no. 6 sold for $8.00 in 1898.
