  Vive Special Folding Camera, No. 3

The Vive Special Folding Camera, No. 3 was manufactured from approximately 1898 to 1902. Constructed of the finest mahogany highly polished and covered in heavy black seal embossed leather with nickel plated brass hardware. Features included room for three double plate holders in the back, with two fitting in a patented plate holder carrier.

Features included an accurate focusing scale is provided for objects from 6 to 100 feet. The lens is a universal focus beyond 100 feet. The camera has rising and falling front, horizontal swing, two sockets for mounting and a reversible view finder. Equipped with a instantaneous symmetrical lens and iris diaphragm, with pneumatic and finger release time and instantaneous shutter. Available in 4 x 5 and 5 x 7 sizes and priced at $25.00 and $35.00 dollars respectively.
