The No. 2A Brownie Camera was manufactured by the Eastman Kodak Company from 1907 to 1933. The No. 2A Brownie took six or twelve exposures on No. 116 film 2 1/4 x 4 1/4 inches without reloading. Features included a meniscus lens, fixed focus, Eastman rotary shutter with three stops, and two finders. Covered in imitation leather with nickeled hardware. The box camera measures 3 7/16 x 5 1/8 x 6 1/8 inches and weighed 21 ounces. Original constructed of cardboard until 1924 at which time it was constructed from aluminum with model C. In 1929 Kodak introduced the No. 2A Brownie with 5 different colors. Originally priced at $3.00, aluminum model C, with black covering at $3.75. Later colored models were introduced at $4.00 and are less common than black covered cameras.
