The Bantam Special was manufactured by the Eastman Kodak Camera from 1936 to 1948. Designed by Walter Dorwin Teague with distinct Art Deco styling. The well made clam shell designed Bantam Special featured a compur rapid shutter and Ektar lens with speeds of 1/500 to 1 second until 1940, then replaced with a supermatic shutter which ran at 1/400th to 1 second. There were not many Bantams produced after 1940. Constructed of with a strong aluminum body and handsomely detailed with a glossy black enamel exterior finish. The Bantam Special measures 3 3/16" x 4 13/16" x 1 13/16" deep and weighs 17oz.
