The C Daylight Kodak Camera was manufactured by the Eastman Kodak Company from approximately 1891 to 1895. The early A B C Kodak's were designed to be a more affordable camera using the new Eastman photo process but with a simplified less costly construction. The new features provided with this line of camera's introduced the exposure counter, the automatic lock to prevent over advancing film, and most importantly daylight loading. The C Daylight Kodak took the largest size images 4 x 5 inches. It had a capacity of 24 exposures without reloading. Covered in leather. The camera measures 5 x 6 1/2 x 11 1/4 and weighs 3 pounds, 7 ounces. Price in 1894 was $25.00.
