  Century Folding Camera Lens

Four styles of shutters were used with the regular Century "folding bellows type" cameras. Models 10 and 11 used the No. 3 Automatic Single Valve. Model 11A had the No. 2 Automatic Single Valve. Model 12 is fitted with their Improved Double Valve Shutter, while all other models, 14, 15, 16 and the Grand cameras were furnished with a No. 1 Automatic Double Valve Shutter. Below illustrates the different Shutters.

The No. 3 Single Valve Automatic Shutter does not require to be set. It is always ready for use, being released and set again by one pressure of the bulb. It will operate for instantaneous, time, and bulb exposures.

The No. 2 Single Valve Automatic Shutter is also a self-setting shutter, and operates for either instantaneous, time or bulb exposures.

The Double Valve Shutter is one of the neatest and most perfect working models yet devised. It has triplicate movement, operating for instantaneous, time, and bulb exposures.

The No. I Century Automatic Double Valve Shutter does not require setting; it sets itself automatically, and can be adjusted for either instantaneous, time, or bulb exposures.
