The Scovill Panoramic Camera introduced in 1894 by the Scovill and Adams Company. The camera was design to place a flexible film (Carbutt's No 27 films) into a dark slide which is about one-third of a cylinder for capturing a 120 deg angle of exposure. The lens was designed to revolve on a vertical spindle passing through the optical axis of the lens. The light is allowed to reach the film only through a narrow slit close to the film for exposure. The camera was made in various dimensions up to the size capable of making photographs 18 x 48 inches. Prices ranged from $250 to $300.
