The Acme Landscape Reversible Camera was by manufactured by the American Optical Company for the Scovill Manufacturing company in circa 1891. Scovill's Acme line was a lower grade camera compared to the American Optical Camera line that Scovill owned and marketed. The models were similar in construction and features. The Acme landscape camera was constructed of polished mahogany, with a rubber bellows, rear manual focusing, a single swing vertical shifting front, patent side latch for folding platform, and side tripod plate for reversing. Available in sizes 4 x 4, 5 x 8, and 8 x 10, and ranging in price from $12.50 to $20.00.
