  Waterbury View Camera by Scovill Mfg. Co.

The Waterbury View Camera was manufactured by the Scovill Manufacturing Company from 1885 to 1898. A light and compact popular camera that became available in numerous sizes.

The cameras was made of mahogany with a rubber bellows, a folding platform, a single swing, vertical shifting front side latch for making bed rigid instantaneously, ground glass and rear rack & pinion focus adjustment. Later models have black fabric bellows. Sizes available included 4 x 5, 4 1/4 x 5 1/2, 4 1/4 x 6 1/2, 5 x 7, 5 x 8, 6 1/2 x 8 1/2, 8 x 10.

The New Model 4x5 Waterbury outfits were able to be fitted with the Eastman-Walker roll holder. Outfits consisted of a new style double dry holder, a wooden carrying case, a Taylor tripod and a Waterbury lens of sufficient size with a set of stops.
