  Chevron Camera

The Chevron camera was manufactured by Eastman Kodak Company in circa 1953 to 1956. A well made camera for taking 2 1/2 x 2 1/2 inch (6x6cm) exposures on no. 620 roll film. Advertised as a professional-type camera featuring a coupled split-image rangefinder. Extra rigid construction made of a heavy aluminum body and covered in black morocco Kodakur, and chromed trim. It is fitted with a four-element 78mm coated Ektar f3.5 lens and a Kodak Synchro-Rapid 800, eleven speed, leaf shutter providing speeds from 1 to 1/800th of a second. Worlds fastest between the lens shutter. Other features included a ratchet film advance level for automatic metering and film counting. Kodak also offered an optional adapter for using no. 828 roll film for 28 x 40mm exposures for making slides and a Ektalux B-C Flash Gun. Originally priced at $215 usd.
