  Kodak Hawkeye Box Camera

The Kodak Hawkeye Box Camera was manufactured by Kodak Ltd. of the UK in circa 1936. It was similar to the Kodak Baby Hawkeye box camera made by Kodak Ltd. This was a simple box camera constructed of cardboard and covered in black leatherette material and a metal face plate. The camera accepted Kodak no. 127 rollfilm. It featured a fixed focus meniscus lens and a single speed flip-flop shutter running at approximately 1/60th of a second. A large wire frame extending from the users right side was provided for focusing. mainly offered through advertising giveaways or incentives.
