The "Society" No. 2 Camera was manufactured or sold by Thomas Gould of 104 Chestergate Stockport, England. Designed in the traditional 1890s British camera style and made of mahogany with brass fittings. Ground glass rear focusing, adjustable rise, and double extension leather bellows.
There is very little information about T. Gould except that he was a secretary for the Stockport Photographic Society in circa 1895 - 1903. The society was established in 1889. In 1895 he was located at 104 Chestergate and in 1903 at 114 Chestergate. No specific information was found of a business as of this posting.
