  Anthony's Simplex camera

The Simplex camera was manufactured by E. & H.T. Anthony from approximately 1891 to 1895. This is a rare camera not seen often. Similar in construction to the Lilliput, it is covered in black grained leather and its compact size measures only 4 x 5 x 6 inches. The simplex was designed as a a neat and handsome detective camera for pictures 2 x 2 inches. It is fitted with six double dry plate holders and twelve kits for films. It is provided with built in finder with a time or instantaneous exposure. Price in 1891 for camera with one double holder either for films or for plates with kits, $10.00.
