Anthony Compact Camera

The Anthony Compact Camera was introduced in 1891. Manufacturing continued until 1903. This compact camera is similar to the noted English makes. This camera is constructed with a reversible back, which makes it almost square when folded, and measures (5 X 8
size) 9 1/8 X 9 1/8 X 3 1/8 inches. The bed telescopes with rack and pinion, and
when closed for carrying, forms the outside of the box. The bellows has
an extension (5 x 8 size) of 16 inches, and the telescopic bed makes it capable of use with very short focus lens. The tripod top is built into this camera, and is of brass, arranged in such a manner that it revolves freely, thus giving the advantage of changing the field without moving the tripod legs. The ground glass is attached with our patent spring action, which keeps it out of the operator's way and prevents its becoming detached from the box, and the entire instrument, with ground glass and double holder, weighs only pounds 5 1/2 pounds.
