Anthony's Marlboro Camera

The Marlboro Camera was manufactured by E. & H.T. Anthony company from approximately 1896 to 1900. It was the first hand camera with a reversible self adjusting spring back. This improvement alone makes it the superior of any other camera on the market. The Marlborough was fitted with rising and falling front, swing front rack and the finest adjustment pinion movement, and swing back. It was constructed with leather covering of the best quality. The bellows was of the highest grade leather and the interior of the camera has an ebony finish. Fitted with a rapid rectilinear lens. This camera accommodated both plates and films. Another feature considered wide angle lenses, as it is obvious that the baseboard of the camera might be included in the angle of view of the lens, and to obviate this the baseboard is constructed so that it will fall and be at such an angle as to afford an entirely unobstructed view To drop the baseboard. The Marlborough Camera was made in three sizes 8 x 10, 6 1/2 x 8 1/2 and 5x7
