  Anthony's Front Focus Novelette Camera

The Front Focus Novelette Camera was manufactured by E.& H.T. Anthony Company from approximately 1885 to 1899. This version of the Novelette is made with the back rigid and the front moving forward and back by rack and pinion movement for focusing, thus giving the operator access to the ground glass without interference from the bed of the Camera. It was constructed of highly polished mahogany. The metal work has the draw file finish same as used in the finest mathematical instruments. It has rising front single or double swing back and Anthony's patent adjustable ground glass back.

The body of the Camera is made of same shape as the holder and is reversed more easily and quickly than any other in the market. It occupies only one half the space necessary for other reversible Cameras for the same size plate and is only two thirds the weight. It also differs from all other reversible Cameras of other makers being complete in itself having no loose pieces or sections.

This camera came in many sizes including: 4 x 5, 4 1/2 x 6 1/2, 5 x 7, 5 x 8, 6 1/2 x 8 1/2, 8 x 10, 10 x 12, 11 x 14, 14 X 17
