The Alphatron SLR Clinical Camera was manufactured by Adel Precision Products Corp of Burbank California in circa 1941. It was designed by G.B.Pollock with patented number US002364652. This well made single lens reflex camera was advanced for its time. It was constructed of a rugged die-cast aluminum body with chrome-plated fittings to meet commercial quality needs. The camera was capable of capturing 4x4cm exposures on number 127 roll-film or 28x40mm on 828 roll-film. It was fitted with a fixed focus f9 (to f45) 10.6cm Kolor Prismat lens. It featured a unique battery operated pop-up flash reflector that flipped down to serve as a lens cover. The camera measures approximately 5 inches high by 3.25 inches wide and 5.5 inches deep and weighs approximately 2 pounds.
