  Belca Beltica II Camera (early version)


The Beltica II folding camera was manufactured by Belca-Werk of East Germany in circa 1952. The second version was made in 1955. The first version has a folding direct eye-level view finder on top of the camera. The camera took up to thirty-six 1 x 1 1/2 inch exposes on 35mm roll film. It was fitted with a variety of lenses including a Ludwig Meritar f2.9 50mm or a Meyer-Optik Trioplan f2.9 50mm lens or a Zeiss Tessar f2.8 50mm lens. The shutter was either a Vebur providing 1 to 1/250th of a second or a Cludor providing 1 to 1/200th of a second. Other features include built-in flash synchronization, parallax correction and eye-level optical viewfinder.
