The Beltica folding camera was manufactured by Belca-Werk of East Germany in 1950. It was one of the first 35mm cameras made by the company. The camera took up to thirty-six 1 x 1 1/2 inch exposes. It was fitted with a variety of lens-shutter combinations including a Ludwig Meritar f2.9 50mm or a Meyer-Optik Trioplan f3.5 lens or a Zeiss Tessar f3.5 lens mounted in a Compur Rapid shutter providing 1 to 1/500th second or Ovus shutter providing 1 to 1/200th of a second or Cludor providing speeds from 1 to 1/200 second, plus time and bulb. Other features include built-in flash synchronization, parallax correction, exposure control, eye-level optical viewfinder and manual focusing. Originally priced around $55 USD.
