  Anthony's Bijou Camera

manufactured from 1887 - 1893, the Bijou is a small camera measuring only 5 x 5 x 3 1/2 inches when folded. It can easily be carried in a hand or even a pocket. It weighs only 14 1/2 ounces and the holders are correspondingly light and compact. It has a sliding front, hinged ground glass, a folding bed, able to be adjusted in a few seconds. The plate is the same size as those used on magic lanterns, so slides may be made from them by contact printing in ordinary frame. It is made of highly polished mahogany, with flexible bellows and brass mountings, making a remarkable elegant little instrument. An optional bracket was available for ease of mounting on a bicycle as depicted below. 1891 price was $9.00.
