Patented in 1883. This detective camera sold through Anthony was advertised as the lightest, neatest and most compact camera ever made. The camera is compact with the size being only 4 1/2 x 8 1/2 x 6 inches. Designed to be carried in the hand for specific known distances. A focusing lever located on top of the camera will bring the image info focus. Equipped with a view finder for showing the position of the image on to the plate. The shutter button is located on the right and upon pressing it the exposure to the plate is instantly made. Development accomplished afterward in the usual manner. Camera available in two sizes for plates 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 and for 4 x 5 plates. Cost is $55 and 60 respectively for 1883.
