The Long Focus Reversible Back Montauk was manufactured by G. Gennert approximately from 1899 to 1912. Constructed to meet the need for landscape and general distance work the Long Focus RB was an improvement from the basic Long Focus Montauk. A special extension rack and pinion movement for careful and accurate focusing has been added. The long bellows were actually two bellows fastened at the center with by means of a square fram at the top of the camera. The front bellows being conical and the rear bellows square. The addition of the new reversible back feature allows for vertical and horizontal images without changing the position of the camera. Other feature include rising and falling front, double swing, side shift, tripod plates, reversible Montauk brilliant view finder, etc.
