The ACON 35 model II camera was manufactured by the A.R.S. Optical company of Japan and sold in the USA by the Burke & James company from approximately 1956 to 1958. It was a 35mm (24 x 36mm) rangefinder camera constructed with a metal body and leatherette covering. It was fitted with a 45mm Vita f3.5 hard coated lens. The flash synchronized shutter provided speeds from 1/10 to 1/200th of a second, including bulb. Other features included a depth-of-field scale, coupled rangefinder focusing and viewfinding, double exposure prevention and a minimum focusing distance of 3.5 feet. Originally priced at $39.95 for the camera and $44.50 for the camera and carrying case.
