The Cycle Montauk, Style II was manufactured by G. Gennert in circa 1899. This camera design was similar to the Cycle Montauk style I, however it eliminated several adjustments not necessary for general snap shot work. It included only the important features as rising and falling front spring actuated ground glass rack and pinion focusing. It also includes a door at the back, two tripod plates, an accurate scale for rapid focusing and plain reversible finder. The lens furnished is the rapid Symmetrical lens with Iris diaphragm and Unicum shutter for time and instantaneous work. The Plate Holders are our well known Detective Holders extra compact, but a Daylight Roll Holder using the cartridge system can be attached in its place.
