Bantam f8 Camera

The Bantam f8 camera was manufactured by Eastman Kodak Co. from 1938 to 1941. The camera was constructed of black bakelite. It featured a frame view-finder, an uncoupled film advance red window and a telescoping lens to reduce the size when not in use. It was capable of capturing eight 28 x 40 mm (approx. 1 1/8 x 1 5/8 inch) exposures on no. 828 "Bantam" film. It was fitted with a fixed focus Kodalinear f5.6 40mm lens. The shutter provided a single snap shot speed. The Bantam f8 camera was originally priced around $4.75.
