  No. 1A Gift Kodak


The No. 1A Gift Kodak was manufactured by Eastman Kodak Company from 1930 to 1931. It was a specially made variation of the No. 1A Pocket Kodak Jr., for the 1930 Christmas season. It was designed by famous industrial designer Walter Dorwin Teague. the camera was constructed of metal and covered in brown leather with an Art Deco enameled design on the shutter face plate and on the exterior base plate. It came in a cedar box with matching design. It was capable of taking 2 1/2 x 4 1/4 inch exposures on no. 116 roll film. It featured a meniscus achromatic lens mounted in a kodo instantaneous and time shutter. It was originally priced at $15.00.
