  Folding Poco Model A by Rocheser Camera Mfg. Co.


The Folding Poco Model A was manufactured by the Rochester Camera Mfg. Co. from approximately 1898 to 1905. Designed to provide all the features not necessarily available in the cycle cameras and with storage space to carry additional plate holders in the back of the camera.

The camera was constructed of a solid mahogany box dovetailed and highly polished. Is was covered with the best seal grain leather with an accompanying leather handle, polished and lacquered brass metal hardware, and High quality red Russian leather bellows, lined with gossamer cloth. The back featured a double vertical and horizontal central swing that was detachable, with a spring actuated ground glass screen for focusing. The front featured a rising, falling and double sliding adjustment with a detachable lens board and single rack and pinion focusing. Two tripod sockets were provided along with a combination Poco view finder and level. The lens was a rapid rectilinear with unicum shutter with finger and pneumatic release. Available in 4 x 5 and 5 x 7 sizes.
